Thomas, for your Baptism, your parents asked me

to write a prayer for you,

With that cute little face and chubby little body

That’s certainly not hard to do!

I pray that most importantly you take all of this

Family’s love for you, wherever you go

Through good times and bad, places far and away

There’s nothing but support we will show

I pray you live everyday of your life with passion

and Joy,

And realize just how lucky you are

To be the first “bourdon boy”

I pray you learn to treat others with compassion

And kindness with everyone you meet

And reach for the stars, and

All the records to beat!

I pray that you grow up true to your beliefs,  and

to yourself;

When you remain strong in your heart

There’s no greater wealth!

I pray Thomas, that you grow proud of

Who you are and what you can do

With a family like ours-the love, support

And friendship, its all up to you!

I pray you always listen with your heart,

And keep the faith of a child

And know on your grandparent’s fridge

Your paintings will be piled!

Thomas, I pray you always try to understand

The way other people feel

And take time in your life to consider

What’s true and what’s real

I pray you learn to realize how

Precious life can be

Always take time to say “I love you” and

Make sure its your relatives you see!

I pray you always hold your family

And friends close to your heart

And when you grow up, thank your

Mommy and daddy for your wonderful start

When I look at you, I think of the many

years ahead, and all the good times to come

The laugh’s that we’ll share, the memories

We’ll make, will be envied by some

I pray you always know where you’re going

And remember where you’ve been

If you make sure there’s religion in your life

There’s no way you can’t win

So Thomas, I realize you’re just a baby,

And your life’s just begun

One day you will realize, in less

than a second its our hearts that you won

So today’s your big day, your Baptism

Is here

And having the honor of your Godmother, I will

Forever be near

To love you, support you, and be here when

You need me, you adorable little boy,

To show you the ropes and how that smile

And giggle will get you toy after toy!
